The Southern Indiana Shock Class of 2018 team finished second at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Classic in the Ninth Grade Division in Cincinnati, Ohio, on the weekend of April 18 and 19.

The team defeated the Panthers by 12 and lost by a last-second shot to the Cincinnati Bulldogs in pool play.

The Shock then defeated the Ohio Unity in overtime to make it to the championship game where they were narrowly defeated by the Cincy Shock.

Area players on the team include Cameron Luedeman of Crothersville, Dylan Wilson of Seymour and Sam Hayes of Trinity Lutheran.

Also on the team are Brian Long of Greenfield-Central, Devon Mills of Evansville Central, Eirik Shackelford of Southwestern (Shelby), Brendon Hobson of Floyd Central, Kamden Zink of West Washington and Jordan Cook of Martinsville Tabernacle.
