Gamma Phi chapter of Tri Kappa met April 7 at the Community Foundation of Jackson County in Seymour.

Social committee members Heidi Leinart, Julie Putman and Monica Kriete provided snacks.

Representatives from Southern Indiana Center for the Arts and Court Appointed Special Advocates of Jackson County both spoke on behalf of their respective organizations. Each explained how donations from Tri Kappa benefit their organization, and in turn, benefit the community.

President LaWanda Tidd called the business meeting to order, and officers gave monthly reports.

Spring project co-chairwoman Mindy Roeder reported that the Twice is Nice Kids Consignment Sale on April 18 had a record number of consignors register online.

Program committee co-chairwoman Kim Cain discussed committee chair needs for 2015-2016 and announced committee sign-ups will most likely be in May.

Art committee chair Katherine Stahl announced that Gamma Phi served refreshments for Seymour Community Schools’ recent annual Celebration of the Arts.

The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Sonya Collett for a Cinco de Mayo-themed meeting.
