Yolanda G. “Yogi” McDole, 51, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital after battling diabetes.

Born April 10, 1962, in Carrollton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Bobby Gene McDole and Celia Alice Elwood Shouse. She survives at Shelbyville, Kentucky.

Yogi graduated in 1982 from Carroll County High School in Carrollton. She had worked at Aisin U.S.A. Manufacturing Inc. in Seymour until she was unable because of diabetes. She attended Seymour Christian Church and loved to do crafts. She would make gift baskets for friends to giveaway.

Besides her mother, survivors include brothers, Dwight (Judy) McDole of Franklin, Kentucky, and Orville (Barbara) Morgan of Shelbyville, Kentucky; friends from Seymour, Tammy Baker, Sharon Hurtt, Tammy Doty, Vicki Whitson, Mary Beth Elkins, Ilse Schiffer and Connie Wills; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Yogi’s life will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre at 311 Holiday Square Road in Seymour.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
