Rodney Eugene Ison, 31, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015.

Born Aug. 19, 1983, in Salem, he was the son of Tammy Sue Reed Perry, who survives in Seymour.

He worked four years at NTN as a machine operator. When he wasn’t working, Rodney enjoyed junkin’, fishing, music and spending time with his daughter.

If Rodney had one wish, it would be that everyone in his family would show the “Love of a Father for his daughter Ava.” He also said, “Please, family, from now on you represent me, so please keep in mind that you will be showing my daughter who her Daddy was since I no longer can.”

Besides his mother, Rodney is survived by the love of his life, his daughter, Ava Sue Ison Lawson; two brothers, “Bubby” Ison and Elmer L. (Ashley) Ison; a niece, Savannah Ison; and three nephews, Noah, Nehemiah, and Hadassah Ison.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel with Brother Rick Wilson officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday.

Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery with a dove release.

Memorials may be made to his daughter, Ava Ison.
