Choir director to lead final spring concert

The Brownstown Central High School advanced choirs will help choir director Jan Willey present her final spring show at 7 p.m. May 18 in the auditorium.

The concert will feature pop selections and soloists. Choir awards will be presented to students with award points and number of trimesters in choir. Senior members of the choir also will be honored with a final section in the show and a slideshow presentation.

The concert is free, and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

All past Brownstown Central choir members are invited to join in on the program for the last farewell song “I’ve Had the Time of My Life.” Song sheets will be available as guests enter the stage.

The advanced choirs will perform “Get Ready,” “Dancing In the Streets Medley,” “Just Give Me a Reason,” “Radioactive,” “Roar,” “When You Believe,” “Outcast,” “The Prayer” and the finale song “I’ve Had the Time of My Life.”

Soloists on the program are Morgan Broughton, Caylen Fortino, Brycelyn Ruddick, Christine Freeman, K.C. Lowry, Sarah Adams, Ciara Fisher, Emily Bridges, Brittany Isaacs, Meg Fleetwood, Lauren Murphin, Elisa Gallion, Bethany Reedy, Kent Criminger, Mason McClure and Willey, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

A reception will be conducted in the lobby for all students and guests at the conclusion of the show, and pictures and choir memorabilia will be on display.
