Jackson County Treasurer Maria Fisher reminds taxpayers that the spring installment of this year’s property taxes are due Monday.

Payments postmarked or made in person after Monday will automatically incur a penalty.

Questions regarding assessments should be directed to the county assessor’s office at 812-358-6111, while those regarding tax rate exemptions or deductions should be made to the auditor’s office at 812-358-6122, and questions regarding tax payments should be made to the treasurer’s office at 812-358-6125.

Fall taxes are due Nov. 10. The county will conduct the 2015 tax sale Oct. 27. Properties with three or more installments in arrears will be certified for the tax sale. Following the certification, the property must be paid current to remove the property from the tax sale.
