Jac-Cen-Del scores big in seventh, tops Cougars

SEYMOUR

Trinity Lutheran gave up seven runs in the seventh inning in a 13-10 loss Saturday.

The Cougars were able to build a 10-6 lead through the first six innings.

Both teams finished with 10 hits.

Jacob Schult finished with three singles, and Sam Crick hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning.

On the day, the Cougars used four pitchers.

With the loss, Trinity Lutheran fell to 8-10 on the season.

Borden rocks Crothersville

BORDEN

Crothersville gave up 46 runs in five innings for a shutout loss Saturday at Borden.

Codi MacDonald picked up the loss on the mound with 17 hits, five walks and 24 runs.

Following four runs in the first inning, the Braves scored 12 runs in second, 10 in the third and 20 in the fourth.

Jacob Barger, Logan Collins and Seth Anderson each picked up singles for the Tigers.

Tyler Williams had a solid day at the plate for the Tigers with two doubles.

With the loss, the Tigers drop to 0-12 on the season.

BOYS GOLF

Owls compete in Bloomington

Seymour finished 13 of 15 teams at Bloomington North Country Club on Saturday.

Brady Marshall led the Owls shooting a 79 on the day.

The Owls’ Keaton Simpson came in next with an 84, Tyler Bullard had 95 strokes, Ethan Ashley amassed 97 and Noah Beatty shot a 118.

Cougars claim second in Columbus

COLUMBUS

Trinity Lutheran, Hauser and Edinburgh went 2-3-4, and Columbus Christian finished seventh in the Hauser Invitational at Clifty Creek.

Henryville won the eight-team tournament with a 337, Trinity finished with a 354, followed by Hauser at 379, Edinburgh 383, Triton Central 403, Morristown 425, Columbus Christian 426 and Southwestern (Shelby) 434.

Cory Stuckwisch led the Cougars with an 83. Skylar Stahl carded an 89, while Jonathan Keith added a 90 and Chad Stuckwisch and Drew Royalty each shot 92.
