MILLPORT

Lucy Mae Jackson, 78, of Millport, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 10, 2015, at her home.

Born Nov. 25, 1936, in Millport, she was the daughter of Robert Emmett Jackson, who preceded her in death, and Geneva Pearl Boling Jackson, who survives in Millport.

Lucy was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was retired from Jeans Extrusion Company.

Other survivors include her children, Terry Darkis of Millport, Tracy (Rita) Darkis of Goat Hollow, Troy (Linda) Darkis of Millport, and Lana Darkis of Goat Hollow; a sister, Dorothy Williams of Vallonia; nine grandchildren, Justin, Brandon, Tracy Dean, Rhea, Ramie, Tim, Cathy, Rhonda and Crystal; 18 great-grandchildren; and three nieces, Sheila, Tammy and Amber.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Raby; and two nephews, Mark Raby and Shane Williams.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home with Greg Underwood officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Plattsburg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Southern Baptist Church.
