Library offers free showing of ‘Space Jam’

People in their 20s and 30s are invited to attend Movie Rewind for the showing of “Space Jam,” from 2 to 4 p.m. May 23, at the Seymour library, 303 W. Second St.

Registration for this free movie is preferred by May 21, by going to myjclibrary.org/events or by calling the Seymour Library at 812-523-4636.

With this free 1996 movie, the library is introducing events geared toward those in the 20s and 30s age group. There is programming, which include book discussions, movies, mystery theater, crafts and general programs, planned for at least one weekend each month.

Information Assistant Stephanie Sluder is leading these programs.

“Space Jam” stars Michael Jordan, who plays basketball with Looney Toons characters to fight for their freedom against alien slavers. Popcorn and drinks will be served.
