Fred W. Willis, 75, of Norman, went home to be with God on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born April 22, 1940, in Percy, Illinois, he was the son of Ted and Frieda Poenitske Willis, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Susie Ann Bell, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 2010. He retired as a foreman from General Motors.

Survivors include three daughters, April Willis of Medora, and Julie (Tim) Kenney and Jane Willis, both of Illinois; a son, Brian (Denise) Willis of Illinois; a stepson, Alan (Sandy) Mills of Bedford; a stepdaughter, Tina (Sandy) Mills of Bedford; 16 grandchildren, Brevin, Acasia, Calib, Joe, Tom, Jared, Damon, Logan, Mason, Michael, Brent, Alyssa, Rebecca, Justin, Jaylee and Anna; four great-grandchildren; four great-stepgrandchildren; and a sister, Darlene Misselhorn.

Besides his parents and wife, he also was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Willis.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford with Pastor Dereck Fields officiating.

Burial will follow, but a location had not been set at press time.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
