Anna Snyder, 92, of Bloomington, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Golden Living Center.

Born Aug. 15, 1922, in Ukraine, Anna was the daughter of Michael and Maria Dezevorniak Esopenko, both of whom preceded her in death.

She worked as an office manager for Ruth Lake Country Club in Hinsdale, Illinois, and later the Midlothian Country Club in Chicago. She then worked for a heating and air conditioning service. She was a member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church in Bloomington.

Survivors include two sons, Patrick Nolan Snyder of Norman and Michael Ray Murugan of Bloomington; three grandsons, Matthew Snyder, Daniel (Maya) Snyder and Justin (Ilona) Speicher; a granddaughter, Nicole Odya; a great-grandson, Thomas Snyder; a brother and his family, William (Denise) Esopenko of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan; four sisters and their families, Kay (Bud) Bohach of Kelowna, British Columbia, Maria (Kosowan) Leonard of Indianapolis, Jayne Eimers of Canby, Minnesota, and Stephanie Phaneuf of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan; and numerous other relatives.

Besides by her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Estel Ray “Mike” Snyder in 1996; a son, Dennis Lee Snyder; three brothers, Leon Esopenko, Nickolas Esopenko, and George Esopenko; and a sister, Aksania Peterson.

Private services were held for Anna.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross Roads United Methodist Church or donor’s choice of charity.

The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard handled the arrangements.
