‘Escape the Ordinary’ in library program

‘Escape the Ordinary’ during library program

Registration for the summer reading programs at Brownstown Public Library, 120 E. Spring St., will begin Tuesday.

The theme of the adult program for anyone 18 and older is “Escape the Ordinary.”

For every book read, participants will receive an entry for a drawing for a gift basket given away each week.

Also, participants who read, listen to or watch three works that fit in the categories in one line on the Escape the Ordinary tic-tac-toe card will receive an entry to the grand prize drawing that will be conducted at the end of the program.

The theme of the children’s program is “Every Hero Has a Story.”

Participants who read 700 pages during the program will receive a prize package with coupons and theme-related items. Each week, all registered participants can enter drawings to win special prizes from various theme parks, ball teams and museums.

There also will be special events during the summer for each age group.
