Seymour learner receives DEKALB agricultural award

Karen Dringenburg of Seymour High School recently received the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award, sponsored by Monsanto Co..

Dringenburg, the daughter of Dean and Kim Dringenburg, received the award for excellence in academics, leadership and agricultural work experience, according to a news release.

Dringenburg, an honor student, participated in many FFA competitions, placed fourth in the Maverick Challenge and played tennis.

As the winner of the 2015 award, Dringenburg’s name will be recorded on a permanent plaque displayed at Seymour High School. Jeanna Eppley is Dringenburg’s agricultural education instructor at Seymour High School.
