A Troy, Michigan, sporting goods chain will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Friday for its new store in FairOaks Mall, 2394 25th St. in Columbus.

The new 86,000-square-foot store opens for business Friday, and the first 200 adults in line will receive a free Dunham’s Sports T-shirt. The first 200 adults to visit the store Saturday will receive a free Dunham’s Sports baseball cap, and the first 100 adults to visit the store Sunday will receive a Dunham’s Sports gift card. One of those cards will be worth $500.

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

With the opening of the Columbus location, there are 18 Dunham’s Sports stores in Indiana and more than 200 chainwide. The new Columbus store offers a full line of traditional sporting goods and athletics equipment and a wide variety of active and casual sports apparel and footwear. The store also will have a new Fairway Center golf shop.

Dunham’s Sports was founded in 1937 in Detroit as Dunham’s Bait and Tackle.
