Enola Elizabeth Amelia Steltenpohl, 97, of Seymour, passed away at 1:44 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. 

Born Dec. 24, 1917, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Harry and Minnie Wonning Kuhlman, both of whom preceded her in death. On Jan. 23, 1938, in the Sauers community, she married Luther William George Steltenpohl, who preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1991. 

Enola was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid 4 and also was a member of an extension homemakers club. She lived for her church and her family.

Survivors include her three daughters, Helen (Jerry) Bowers of Vallonia, Carolyn Steltenpohl Drahn of Noblesville and Dorothy (Ronald) Colvin of Middletown; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Earl Steltenpohl; a granddaughter, Julie Crockett Costello; and a great-grandson, Zackary Ryan Beavers.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel in Seymour with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
