Student with Seymour ties graduates from IU

Zachary Dierk Pardieck received a bachelor of science degree in microbiology with minors in psychology and Spanish during commencement May 9 at Indiana University in Bloomington.

He graduated with high distinction, having been named a Founders Scholar, which acknowledges students who have maintained a grade-point average of 3.8 or higher. He received this award during all four years of his undergraduate studies.

Pardieck has been accepted into the IU School of Medicine and will be studying at Indianapolis.

The White Coat Ceremony, marking the beginning of his medical training, will be Aug. 7 in Indianapolis.

Pardieck is the son of Julie Goodin Clark of Lebanon, Kentucky, and Gregg Pardieck of Seymour, and the grandson of Robert L. Goodin and the late Mary Jane Goodin of Lebanon and Ralph and Ruth Pardieck of Seymour.
