The Seymour junior varsity and varsity girls basketball teams will be having a shootout this Friday and Saturday.

Teams competing with the Owls include: Columbus East, North Central, Western Boone, Austin, Carmel (two units), Silver Creek, Salem, East Central, Southport and North Harrison.

On Friday, Seymour’s varsity will play North Central at 2 p.m., Western Boone at 5 p.m. and Austin at 8 p.m in the high school’s main gym.

The Owls JV team, which will play its games at Seymour Middle School, plays Western Boone at 2 p.m., Columbus East at 4 p.m. and Southport at 6 p.m on Friday.

Friday night, seeds will be announced for the varsity 12-team, single-elimination tournament set to take place on Saturday at the high school. Games will start at 1 p.m.

Also on Saturday, the Owls JV team will play Jeffersonville at 11 a.m. in the high school main gym.
