Owls doubles team set for regional

BEDFORD

The Seymour No. 1 doubles tandem of Karen Dringenburg and Emma Wood will play Providence’s Maryann Fitzpatrick and Heidi Popson in individual regional play at Bedford North Lawrence High School at 10 a.m. Saturday.

If the Owls win their first match, they will play the winner of Castle’s Katie Brookman and Bailey Devillez vs. Barr-Reeve’s Leah Bullock and Olivia Carroll Barr-Reeve in the championship match at 2 p.m.

The winner of the championship match will advance to the state finals

The four regional champions will advance to state doubles finals on Friday and Saturday, June 12-13, along with the No. 1 undefeated doubles players whose teams were eliminated during the semistate team tourney or the state finals.

Cougars top Shawe

MADISON

Trinity Lutheran’s Chad Stuckwisch shot a 40 (+4) for medalist honors as he lead his team to a 169-212 victory against Shawe Memorial at Sunrise Golf Course on Wednesday.

The Cougars’ Parker Criswell came close behind with a 41.

Cory Stuckwisch, Skylar Stahl, Drew Royalty and Jonathan Keith all shot 44’s for the Cougars on the day.

Clayton Pottschmidt finished with a 45 for the Cougars.

With the victory, the Cougars move to 22-5 on the season.
