Gamma Phi chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa has announced Chloe Wahl as the recipient of the 2015 Kappa Kappa Kappa Inc. Scholarship.

She is the daughter of Tammy and Thomas Wahl and a 2015 graduate of Seymour High School. Wahl will pursue a degree in biochemistry at the University of Indianapolis.

Wahl is a high-performing student with achievements as an AP Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society. She is active in athletics as a volleyball player, softball player and coach/instructor for younger student programs in her sports.

Her résumé also includes an impressive list of leadership roles in student government and the assorted clubs in which she participates. As a person of many talents and a balanced life, Wahl is active in her church youth group at St. Ambrose Catholic Church and serves as a Eucharistic minister.

The Tri Kappa scholarship is given each year to a Seymour or Trinity Lutheran high school student who demonstrates community service and consistency and persistence in activities.

As Tri Kappa is a service-oriented philanthropic organization, it seeks to support a student who demonstrates not only good scholarship but enthusiastic support to their community.

Wahl is such a person. Her essay gives an example of proactive service and leadership. She described her role in a very successful Riley Dance Marathon event to benefit Riley Hospital for Children.

The Tri Kappa scholarship program is funded with several projects throughout the year, including the Oktoberfest cake walk, pecan sales and the Twice Is Nice Kids Consignment Sale.
