Brownstown Exchange Club plans to conduct the 24th annual Round Barn Bike Ride on July 11.

Registration is from 7 to 9 a.m. at Brownstown Central High School, 500 N. Elm St. If you register before June 27, the cost is $25 for adults and $15 for children age 15 and under. After that date, it goes up to $30 for adults and $20 for 15 and younger.

This ride is not recommended for small children on their own bicycles.

The routes for the ride offer some of southern Indiana’s most scenic and picturesque countryside.

The 32-mile ride features flat and gently rolling hills, while the 62-mile and 80-plus-mile distances add challenging hills. Two round barns representing the art and craftsmanship of agricultural architecture from more than 100 years ago are available for touring.

Riders also ride through history on the restored 460-foot-long Medora Covered Bridge, the last standing triple-span covered bridge in Indiana and the longest historic covered bridge still standing in the United States. This architecturally significant bridge was built in 1875 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
