Charles Ray Bannister, 62, of Seymour, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, at home surrounded by his family.

Born July 30, 1952, in Austin, he was the son of Charles E. Bannister, who preceded him in death, and Iris A. Hooker Begley who survives.

Charles was a retired truck driver who was a very active member of Seymour Moose Lodge 418, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 89 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, all of Seymour.

Other survivors include his children, Jennifer Bannister, Jeffrey Bannister, April Bannister, Charles R. Bannister Jr., Amber Spillman and Iris Bannister; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steve Bannister and Eric Bannister; and three sisters, Brenda Chandler, Trixie Witt and Terry Lucas.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Mark Chandler.

The funeral service will be hat 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Mark Wooten officiating.

Burial will follow at Crothersville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday. There will be a Moose Lodge service at 5 p.m. Friday.
