The Indiana Department of Transportation will close lanes and ramps along Interstate 65 this coming week at Seymour.

Contracted crews will be on site from Sunday evening to Friday afternoon.

The closures include:

  • Southbound I-65 right lane from mile-marker 50 at Seymour to mile-marker 45; operations with restrictions will move southward as patches are made and concrete cures
  • Northbound I-65 left lane will be closed between mile-marker 45 and 50
  • Westbound U.S. 50 Ramp to southbound I-65 at Seymour will close for patching, then reopen after concrete cures
  • Southbound 1-65 ramp to eastbound U.S. 50 at Seymour will close for patching, then reopen after concrete cures

John R. Jurgensen Co. is the contractor for the $54.7 million Seymour District pavement project, which has involved the renovation of 21 lane miles of pavement and rehabilitation of 20 bridges along I-65 over the past two years between U.S. 50 in Jackson County and State Road 56 in Scott County.

Currently, concrete and asphalt patching is being done where needed in pavement transition areas.
