Hayden group planning annual homecoming

Hayden High School Alumni Association’s 75th annual homecoming will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Hayden Museum pavilion.

The invitation to the reunion is extended to anyone who ever attended the Hayden school, but special recognition will be given to the members of the anniversary classes of 1935, 1940, 1945, 1950, 1955 and 1960, the last class to graduate from Hayden High School.

The program will consist of alumni business and announcements, introduction of the 2015 Michael Euler Memorial Award winner, induction of two people into the Hayden Hall of Fame, recognition of members of the anniversary classes and introduction of former Hayden school teachers in attendance.

There will be an ice cream social at the end of the program, and anyone who would like to bring a dessert may do so.

The reunion is an opportunity for everyone to get together to visit with friends, classmates and teachers. The first reunion took place in 1940 at Muscatatuck State Park, and while the event has been conducted in various locations over the years, it always has been on the fourth Sunday in June.
