Phi Beta Psi sorority’s white team recently was honored as the winner of a year-long contest with the chapter’s red team at the home of Cori Vaughn.

Carrying out a backyard barbecue bonanza theme, guests were dressed in cowgirl fashions. Dividing the group into two teams, Jackie Hill and Dana Byrkett directed them through the cowgirl obstacle course and the three-legged sack race.

Barbecued meats, picnic sides and summer desserts and drinks were served. Tables were centered with red blooming geraniums and western style trinkets and candies. Each member received a personalized pint jar with Phi Beta Psi and its Greek letters.

White team prize winners were Taryn Rockey, Rachel Rust, Janet Cooper, Jennifer Payton, Becca Rust, Kathleen Johnson, Melissa Krawchison, Jami Mathis, Kristy Gabbard and Natasha Miller.

Other winners were Stephanee Roberts, Paula McDaniel, Beckie Anderson, Joan Trimpe, Michele Lewis and Kalee Alberring.

Secret sister names were revealed and gifts exchanged. New names were drawn for 2015-16.
