Jack Heiman, 86, of Brownstown, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015, in Indianapolis.

Born Oct. 4, 1928, in Jackson County, he was the son of Howard and Esther Plump Heiman, whom both preceded him in death. On Sept. 10, 1947, he married Donna Mae Anderson Heiman, who survives.

Jack was a member of Surprise Christian Church and graduated from Brownstown High School with the Class of 1946. He retired from Cummins Engine Co. after 41 years of service, and he also was a farmer.

Other survivors include his children, Dennis (Cindy) Heiman and Debra (Dale) Heiman-Shelly; grandchildren, Susan Jackson, Jason (fiancée Gabbi Todd) Kindred and Erica Heiman-Bohn; a stepgrandson, David Shelly; great-grandchildren; Jake Bohn and Scout Bohn; stepgrandchildren, Logan Shelly, Savannah Todd and Tiffany Todd; a stepgreat-great-granddaughter, Irelande Todd; and a sister; Doris Harvey

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, T.J. Heiman; and a brother, Noble Heiman.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Voss and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Nelson Lee and Rev. Rick Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Acme Cemetery, Seymour.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
