Anyone wishing to enter a fish or turtle to display in the Jackson County Conservation Council’s exhibit at the Jackson County Fair needs to bring their entries to the fairgrounds July 22.

In the past, entries for the contest weren’t due until the day before the fair. This year’s fair begins July 26.

There will be five categories, and the winners of each will receive a $25 gift certificate. The categories are: Catfish, bass, bluegill, other fish and turtle.
