Jackson County Extension Homemakers Past Presidents Club met June 20 in the Geranium Room at Batar. Hostesses were chairwoman Marilyn Hurt, Aryss Beebe and Nancy Nay.

Vice President Linda Booher presided. Secretary Carol Wait read the minutes of the March meeting.

Treasurer Eunice Lacey read a memorial poem for the late Lena Faye Kovener and said the club had donated $25 in her memory.

Current officers will continue for another year.

Karen VonDielingen said Ciara Fisher of Brownstown will be the club’s Jackson County Fair queen candidate.

Candy favors were at each place. Nay gave scrunchies she had made to each of the 11 members attending, and prizes went to Lacey and Wait.
