Micah Sheffer of Brownstown shot a 42 to place first in the boys’ 8 to 9 division in a golf tournament played Thursday at French Lick Resort’s Valley Links.

A handful of Jackson County golfers competed in the Indiana Golf Association junior tour event at Country Oaks Golf Club at Montgomery this past week.

Jordan Peters of Seymour shot 108 to place 13th in the boys’ 13 to 14 division, while Hunter Browning,

Peters shot an 87 to tie for 13th in the boys’ 15 to 16 division, and Brayton Hattabaugh of Medora shot 96 to place 24th in the boys’ 15 to 16 class.

Brooke Hattabaugh, of Medora, shot 90 to place 11th in the girls’ 17 to 19 division.
