Georgie S. Stebbins Drager Potter, 98, of Brownstown, died at 5:58 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.

Born Sept. 19, 1916, in Washington County, she was the daughter of George and Verlie Gray Stebbins, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Roy Drager and then later married Leon Potter. They are both deceased.

Georgie enjoyed quilting and sewing and liked to crochet. She had been a member of Rebecca Lodge in Salem and Washington County Friendly Neighbors Extension Homemakers Club. She was Methodist by faith. She had worked at Charlestown Bag Plant and was retired from Smith Cabinet Factory in Salem.

Survivors include daughter, Joyce J. (Gerald) Drager Rigdon McElfresh Rutan; 11 grandchildren, Rob (Jeanette) Rigdon, Kevin Rigdon, Tanya (boyfriend Lewis Cotten) Wayt and Lewis, Lucinda Rutan, Julie Rutan, Lisa (Hawkeye) Schmidt, Tami (Barry) Hall, Tina (Greg) Benton, Shannon (Rob) Cummings, Sherman (Alisha) McElfresh III and Kacy McElfresh; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild; brother, Bobbie G. Stebbins; sister, Uldean Meadors; niece, JoAnn Stebbins; and two sons-in-law, Sherman McElfresh Jr. and Mervin Rigdon.

The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with Paul Huddleston officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date at Franklin Cemetery in Washington County.

Memorial donations may be made to Franklin Cemetery or Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary.
