JEFFERSONVILLE

Joseph Stanley Carter, 88, of Jeffersonville, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at Lincoln Hills Health Center in New Albany.

Survivors include three daughters, Rose Anne (Jimmie) Sorrels of Germantown, Tennessee, Dinah (Scott Reese) Carter of Sellersburg and Marci (Bob) White of Fairbanks, Arkansas; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Stanley was preceded in death by a son, Philip Russell Carter.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Adams Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Henryville. Interment will be at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown at a later date.

Memorials may be made to donor’s choice of charity.
