Margaret Bell Hensley, 82, of Seymour, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born March 14, 1933, in Helmsburg, she was the daughter of Eber and Jesse Corley Brown, both of whom preceded her in death.

Margaret was a 1951 graduate of Helmsburg High School. She was currently the senior meal site director at Village Apartments and served as a bookkeeper for several automotive groups for more than 30 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Eastern Star of Brownstown, the Seymour chapter of the Order of the Amaranth; Democratic Women of Jackson County, Monday Duplicate Bridge Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 655.

Survivors include four children, Tina (Charles) Heiden of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Tammy Hensley of Seymour, Donald Dean Hensley Jr. of Crothersville and Wiley L. Hensley of Seymour; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by eight siblings.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Michael Seany officiating. 

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

There will be an Eastern Star Memorial service and an Order of the Amaranth service between 7 and 7:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will follow the funeral service at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Helmsburg.
