Joseph W. Zarick, 86, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Seymour, passed away peacefully at home Friday, Aug. 7, 2015.

Joe was a member of St. Gertrude Parish. He was a longtime resident of Seymour, where he owned and operated several businesses. His faith and family were the main priorities in his life. He was an accomplished baker, and he loved sharing his love of baking with anyone who was interested. He had a great wit and warm smile, and he never met a stranger.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Lou Zarick; children, David, Stephen and Gregory (Judy) Zarick, Kathryn (Brian) Harbrecht and Sara (Jim) Gutting; daughter-in-law, Nancy Zarick; son-in-law, Dallas Mosbey; 21 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, including Suzannah (Terry) Miller and Brooke and Mathew Zarick, all of Seymour.

Joseph was preceded in death by a son, Joseph M. Zarick; and a daughter, Suzanne Zarick Mosbey.

The funeral mass will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Gertrude Parish, 6543 Miami Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the St. Gertrude Church Community Center.
