Seymour’s Hook earns medalist honor

The Seymour girls golf team opened dual-match play at Valley View in Floyds Knobs on Monday against New Albany.

Kayla Hook finished as medalist on nine holes, with a 43, to lead the Bulldogs past the visiting Owls 204-225.

Junior Hannah Thompson led the Owls with a 46, and Bailey Goben came in next scoring 56.

The Owls’ Andrea Axsom finished with 59 strokes while Jenna Ebler carded a 64 and Kara Rice scored 68.

On Saturday, the Owls continue their 2015 campaign on the road at the Providence Invite at Champions Pointe Golf Club in Henryville.
