All Seasons Garden Club’s Aug. 3 meeting was conducted at the home of Leigh Wessel in Brownstown.

A garden theme was followed.

Box lunches adorned with hydrangea nosegays were served by the hostesses, Jeanette Chastain and President Becky Hackman. A strawberry dessert accompanied the meal. Guests were Cathy Cunningham, Laura Dixon and Darlene Sommers.

Hackman conducted a short business meeting. Several members who participated in the Lawrence County garden walk in July shared ideas from the nine gardens.

Hackman discussed a new Dahlia Society in Seymour. She also recognized members that entered projects in the fair.

Those present toured Wessel’s vegetable, perennial and water gardens. Veronica Bowling, Peggy Broshears and Brenda Turner won door prizes.

The Sept. 14 meeting will be at Sandy Kovener’s home with Shirley Lewis as co-hostess.
