Carol Grace Schrader, 90, of Seymour, passed away at 7: 49 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born May 3, 1925, in Cortland, she was the daughter of William and Freda Zumhingst Weber, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Charles Arthur Schrader on Feb. 9, 1946 in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death in 1978.

For 19 years she worked for Newby Dairy and then retired from Thompson Dairy in 1990, after 30 years of service as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1927 and was a past member of Immanuel Guild. Carol helped with funeral meals and taking attendance after church services. She was an avid bowler and loved to play cards. She also loved to bake for family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Karen (Robert) Allman of Seymour, Micheal (Susan) Schrader of Seymour, Jacqueline (Ronald) Speaker of Columbus, John Schrader of Seymour and Kathryn (Barry Rucker) Branaman of Brownstown; a stepson, Ron (Sharon) Schrader of Seymour; grandchildren, Lisa (David) Richart, Chris (Whitney) Allman, Josh Allman, Branch (Mandy) Schrader, Grant (Jennifer Penner) Schrader, Rebecca Speaker, Hannah (Dave) Myers, Leah Speaker, John Michael Schrader, Rachel (Ambraya) Goins, Zachary (Brittnie Fischer) Branaman, Brittany Branaman and Olivia Branaman; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, John (Shelby) Weber of Scipio; a sister, Mary Ann McDonald of Seymour; and a sister-in-law, Rheba Weber of Seymour.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and William Don Weber; two sisters, Jewel Ziegler and Janet Martin; and a great-grandson, Isaac Myers.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m Thursday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Immanuel Cemetery.
