A workshop on painting methods for wood buildings will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wiley House Art Center at 14th and J streets in Bedford.

The workshop, organized by Bedford Revitalization Inc., will be taught by Ron Zmyslo with the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites. He will cover 12 steps for a long-lasting paint job, including types of paint and brushes and the benefits of pretreatment and surface treatments.

This is one of a series of workshops hosted by Bedford Revitalization Inc. on window restoration, masonry and other topics to assist building owners in caring for their historic properties.

The workshop is $10 per person with refreshments provided.
