The Jackson County Republican Party will conduct a town convention to fill the Brownstown Town Council Ward 3 seat.

Registered Republican voters can show up between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Jackson County Courthouse in Brownstown.

C.J. Foster, the current ward representative, and Matt Smith are the candidates for the seat. Only one of them will be on the Nov. 3 general election ballot.
