Guy Penrod, a gospel music singer, plans to perform at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at First Baptist Church, 505 Community Drive, Seymour.

Penrod is well known for his work as the lead singer of Gaither Vocal Band and has pursued a solo career since 2009.

He was named Soloist of the Year at the National Quartet Convention in 2013.
