In this webinar that lasted six weeks, the judicial participants examined, compared and contrasted the principal schools of ethics as well as identified their own personal ethics while applying them to various ethical scenarios.

One of the topics included the five schools of ethics. Other topics included ethics on the bench; bias in the courtroom; courtroom interactions with immigrants, culture and gender; and diversity.

Seminar participants included judges from Nevada, Washington, California, Washington, D.C., Mississippi and the Navajo nation in Arizona.

MacTavish has been the judge for Jackson Superior Court II since that court opened in January 2008.
