The cause of a fire that destroyed the mobile home of a Vallonia man Tuesday remains under investigation.

The Indiana Fire Marshal is investigating the fire at the home of Rusty Warner at 3381 W. Water St., said Clint Wolka, chief of the Driftwood Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Warner was not at home at the time of the fire, and none of the firemen fighting the blaze were hurt.

Wolka said the American Red Cross was called to help Warner with some of his potential needs, and Warner also said he had a place to stay overnight.

Warner works for Hackman Family Farm Market, and donations to help him are being accepted there.

The fire was reported at 10:21 a.m. Tuesday.
