Franklin College’s Mackenzie Wieneke (Seymour) earned her second-consecutive Heartland Athletic Conference Volleyball’s Defensive Player of the Week honor on Monday.

Wieneke totaled 122 digs and averaged 7.2 digs per set as the volleyball team won three of five matches last week.

Her 39 digs in a victory over Aurora University in the Illinois Wesleyan University ranks second nationally in a four-set match.

Wieneke had 41 digs in a five-set loss to Augustana in the tournament.
