Cougar run at Greensburg

GREENSBURG – The Trinity Lutheran cross-country team ran at the Greensburg Invitational on Thursday.

AJ Goecker finished 11th in 17:57.52, Luke Onken took 37th in 19:02.15 and Alex Royalty was 74th in 23:11.84.

On the girls side, Andrea Foster finished 58th with a time of 27:31.

Olympians edge Seymour

COLUMBUS — Columbus East won a share of its sixth consecutive Hoosier Hills Conference title with a 1-0 senior night win against Seymour.

The Olympians, who won the past five titles outright, shared this one with New Albany. Both teams went 5-0-2 in the HHC.

The Olympians (7-4-5) scored the game’s lone goal in the ninth minute when Addy Galarno knocked in a pass from Sarah Park, and Bryn Eudy recorded four saves in posting the shutout.

Rachel Collett recorded eight saves in goal for the Owls.

Seymour fell to 6-8-4 overall and 3-3-1 in the HHC.

The Owls will play Madison in the semifinals of the Columbus North Sectional on Thursday.
