The Jackson County Visitor Center board recently presented promotional grants to two area organizations.

A $200 grant was given to Bonnye Good, representing the Freeman Army Airfield Museum, and a $400 grant was presented to Ellen Mirer, president of the Humane Society of Jackson County.

The museum’s grant will be used for a website, and the humane society used its grant for its annual Dog Days Dog Show.
