Seymour Sectional title match rescheduled

The championship match of the Seymour Sectional will be played at 4:30 p.m. today.

On Friday, Seymour and Brownstown Central were tied at 1 when the match was halted because of the weather.

The winner of the match will play Columbus North in the Bloomington North Regional at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Volleyball

Tigers split matches against Scottsburg

SCOTTSBURG

After dropping a three-setter to host Scottsburg on Saturday, the Crothersville volleyball team battled past Switzerland County in five sets to settle for a split.

Scottsburg defeated the Tigers 25-15, 25-18, 25-9, while Crothersville outlasted the Pacers 20-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 18-16.

Maddie Riley led the Tigers (9-13) with solid day of hitting, going 37 of 40 with 17 kills, and was a perfect 26 of 26 in serving.

Katrina Christian registered a team-high nine aces and had eight kills, while Lacey Hall added nine kills.

Cross-country

Two Medora runners compete in invitational

COLUMBUS

Medora had two runners in Saturday’s Crusader Invitational at Ceraland in Columbus.

Matthew Jones placed 13th out of 32 runners with a time of 20:30, while Zac Thompson finished 16th in 21:11.
