Indiana author conducting cemetary discussion

A northern Indiana woman plans to discuss cemetery culture, art, history and genealogy during her presentation “A Grave Interest” from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Joy Neighbors is a cemetery researcher and freelance writer who will explain how to decipher gravestone symbols, abbreviations, epitaphs and talk about where to find important related records. Neighbors also is a wine judge and writer.

This free Jackson County Public Library program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Registration is preferred by Oct. 16 by going to myjclibrary.org/events or calling the Seymour Library at 812-523-4636.
