Hearts of Home Extension Homemakers Club met Sept. 17 at Soup By Design in Columbus for lunch and conducted its club meeting at Zaharakos while enjoying dessert.

President Glenda Neawedde opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and club creed.

Debbie Shubert led roll call by asking “Who was your first best friend in school?”

Janet Jarvis gave devotions entitled “When Our Faith Wavers.”

The thought for the day was “What am I to be, I am now becoming.”

Neawedde distributed Tell-a-Homemaker and the Endless Summer Classics Cookbook and gave the extension homemakers financial statement.

For citizenship, Jarvis read “15 Astonishing Facts About America.”

Neawedde gave the lesson “Which Plastics are Safest.”

Homemakers are preparing for the bake sale Nov. 7 at Immanuel Lutheran School.

The next meeting will be Oct. 15 at Susan Robbins’ home. Members are to bring pumpkins to decorate and paint and food donations to be given to Community Provisions.
