Dress-A-Doll program seeks local volunteers

JCB, partnering with warm-hearted community members, plans to make some less-fortunate children smile this Christmas through the 40th annual Dress-A-Doll program.

JCB customers may check out a doll from the bank at no cost and then dress it and return it to be donated to a local organization giving toys to children for Christmas.

Once all of the dolls have been returned to JCB, they will be judged and ribbons will be awarded for best dressed doll in each of three categories (handmade, purchased clothing, and under 15) and an overall grand prize winner.

“Over the last 40 years, many things have changed, but Dress-A-Doll remains an important tradition here at JCB,” said Sara Bevers Hildreth, JCB marketing officer. “We believe every child deserves a toy on Christmas morning.”

Anyone interested in participating may visit the Seymour-based bank’s main office or offices at Jackson Park or Jay C in Seymour or the Brownstown branch to check out a doll during bank hours.

Questions regarding the program may be directed to Peggy Brewer, assistant banking center leader, at 812-522-3607, ext. 4430.
