Cougars edge Hornets

HENRYVILLE — Henryville rallied from a two-set deficit to force a fifth set, but Trinity Lutheran regrouped Tuesday to pull out a 26-24, 25-14, 21-25, 21-25, 21-19 victory.

Haylee Barker pounded 14 kills, Hayley Carter had 39 digs and Taylor Reynolds served three aces to lead the Cougars. Abby Hackman added 11 kills, while Lexi Schneider had six kills, Reynolds notched 20 digs and Carter served an ace.

Tigers pick up SAC win

LANESVILLE — The Crothersville volleyball team picked up a 25-23, 25-19, 18-25, 25-18 Southern Athletic Conference victory against Lanesville on Tuesday.

Brittany Clem led the Tigers’ serving making 23 of 24 tries with five aces while Chasta Lamb converted 20 of 23 attempts with five aces.

Freshman Maddie Riley led the Tigers in hitting, going 17 for 21 with four kills.

The Tigers (11-13) will play Borden on Tuesday in the first-round of the Orleans Sectional.

Hornets fall to South Decatur

GREENSBURG — The Medora volleyball team fought hard Monday but fell to South Decatur 26-24, 26-28, 17-25, 25-14.

The Hornets were perfect by making all 71 sets on the evening and went 228 of 296 passing.

Serving, Kailen Flynn didn’t miss one of her 15 serves with five aces.

On Oct. 24, the Hornets will face Orleans in the Sectional 61 semifinal.
