Accomplishments this past week: Finished 13th at the Brown County Sectional with a personal-best 16:49 (21st-best in school history)

How were you able to perform to your fullest potential this past week?

What did you do well?

“I remained focused throughout the entire race, which is a weaker point that I’ve struggled with in my previous races.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“I try to keep everything that I do before a race as regular/normal as possible in order to remain calm and relaxed.”

Favorite drink: Water with lemon

Favorite food: Rice

Favorite music group/band/artist/genre: Alternative/classic rock

If you could travel anywhere and why?

“I would probably travel to Rio de Janeiro because I have always wanted to see Christ the Redeemer.”

Athletics goal (current or future): Advance to state as a team in cross-country, win Hoosier Hills Conference titles in the 1,600 and/or 3,200 in track.

Alexis Koch, Brownstown Central cross-country, junior

Accomplishments this past week: Ran a season personal record (21:59.12) at the Brown County Sectional, finished first on the team, qualified for regional placing 22nd

How were you able to perform to your fullest potential this past week?

“I did my best and focused on the race ahead of me.”

What did you do well?

“I pushed myself and did not let any negativity get into my head while simply focusing on catching the next girl ahead of me.”

Favorite book: Harry Potter series

“Always do your best, have confidence, and laugh as much as possible.”

If you could travel anywhere and why?

“I would travel to as many countries in Europe as I could to sightsee, visit the famous landmarks, and experience the different cultures.”

“Run a PR this weekend and advance to semistate.”
