HOT SPRINGS, Ark.

Janet R. Turner, 88, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and formerly of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015.

Born Nov. 24, 1926, in Seymour, she was the daughter of George Combs and Ruth Foist Combs, both of whom preceded her in death.

Janet was a retired hairdresser and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Lou (Dick) Kellogg of Hot Springs, Arkansas; a brother, Allen Dale (Shirley) Combs of Seymour; two grandchildren, Marquetta (Jeff) Peyton of White Hall, Arkansas, and David Ponder of Hot Springs, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, George E. Bowman; five sisters; and three brothers.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Hot Springs with the Rev. Mike Maddox officiating.
